ITEMS THAT CAN BE RECYCLED

  • CRV ALUMINUM BEVERAGE CANS - Soda or beer cans, MUST have a CA-CRV imprinted on top, cans must be EMPTY, CLEAN AND DRY! 


  • CRV BIMETAL JUICE CANS - Coconut water or pineapple juice, must have a CA-CRV imprint, cans must be EMPTY, CLEAN AND DRY!


  • CRV #1 PLASTIC CONTAINERS - Soda bottles, food jars and containers, mouthwash/salad dressing bottles, must be EMPTY, CLEAN AND DRY!


  • CRV #2 PLASTIC CONTAINERS - Frosty plastic beverage bottles (juice jugs) must be EMPTY, CLEAN AND DRY!


  • CRV GLASS CONTAINERS/BOTTLES - Lids MUST be removed. Liquor bottles with CRV labels are now accepted.


  • CRV WINE BOXES, CARTONS AND POUCHES - Do not need to have a CRV Code


ALL ALLUMINUS, GLASS AND PLASTIC MATERIALS MUST HAVE ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:

  • NON-CRV ALUMINUM, GLASS OR PLASTIC
  • NON-CRV GLASS CONTAINERS: pickle jars, ect
  • NON-CRV ALUMINUM CANS: cat food cans, soup cans, ect.
  • NON-CRV #1 PLASTIC CONTAINERS: egg cartons, muffin containers, salad containers, ect.
  • PAPER MATERIAL OF ANY KIND: cereal boxes, magazines phone books, cardboard, newspapers, ect. 
  • ELECTRONICS
  • STYROFOAM, ARESOL SPRAY CANS
  • STEEL OR TIN CANS, SCRAP METAL
  • PLASTIC GROCERY BAGS
  • WINDOWS, PVC PIPES, CERAMICS, GLASS COOKWARE
  • BATTERIES, LIGHTBULBS, PAINT CANS, USED OIL ITEMS
  • SHARPS OR NEEDLES


IN THE EVENT YOU HAVE RESTRICTED ITEMS IN YOUR BLUE BAG IT WILL BE RED TAGGED AND THE UNAPPROVED ITEMS MUST BE REMOVED. 


 IF UNAPPROVED ITEMS AND OR GARBAGE ARE CONTINUALLY PLACED IN BLUE BAGS, THE RECYCLING SERVICE AT THE CORRESPONDING ADDRESS WILL BE DISCONTINUED.

Blue bag regycling program

Recycling within the incorporated areas of the City of Weed has returned to weekly pick up. In an effort to reduce waste, we ask that you wait until your blue bag is full before placing it curbside for pick up.
